The Chaos and Carnage Tour has been one that I’ve been looking forward to since the day it was announced. The lineup included bands such as Carnifex, Oceano, Spite, and of course Winds of Plague among several other heavy hitters in the deathcore/metal scene; it’s easy to see the reason to be excited. It has been nearly 5 years since the last time Winds of Plague have performed in Cleveland (November 2013 Cleveland Metal Fest).
Winds of Plague were the 5th band to perform on the Agora theater stage to an energetic and often chaotic crowd. The crowd was riled up by the sets of Shadow of Intent, Spite, Buried Above Ground, and Archspire and was awaiting more. When it was Winds of Plague’s time to start, everything went black. The band got into their positions as Johnny (Plague) stood front and center. With an unmatched aggression, Winds of Plague kicked off their set with “Decimate the Weak”. Commanding the crowd to “MOVE!” Showing Cleveland that they haven’t lost any of the energy that they are known for. With no hesitation, they went straight their song “Refined in the Fire”, off their 2011 release Against the World.

As the crowd was getting used to the hits, Winds of Plague converged into their song “Never Alone” off their most recent album Blood of My Enemy. This happened to be the first music video released off their 2017 release as well. While doing everything from climbing the speakers on each side of the stage, to taking air with jumps. The stage presence of Winds of Plague was unmatched this night. The band closed the set out with their Songs “The Impaler” and “Reloaded” and assured the Cleveland crowd that they would be back very soon.
